
Nanchang Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee Member and Vice Mayor An Baojun Leads Delegation to Visit Better’s Overseas Subsidiary
2025-08-05 16:00Zambia, August 3, Mr. An Baojun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Nanchang Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, led a delegation from the Jiangxi Enterprise International Investment Forum to visit AIRUI New Energy—Zambia’s first local battery manufacturing factory—a subsidiary of Better Technology Group Limited (hereinafter referred to as Better Tech Group). Mr. Lu Jianqiang, Deputy General Manager of Production at Airumi New Energy, accompanied the visit.
After the on-site visit of the factory, Vice Mayor Mr. An Baojun gained a detailed understanding of the factory's production processes, technical standards, quality control systems, and localized operations.
He spoke highly of AIRUI New Energy's achievements as a "pioneer" in Zambia's new energy industry. He emphasized that the new energy sector represents a global development trend and is one of the strategic emerging industries prioritized by Nanchang City. The establishment and operation of Airumi New Energy in Zambia has filled a gap in battery manufacturing for Zambia and the surrounding region while creating valuable jobs and technical training platforms and advancing Zambia's industrial and economic development.
Vice Mayor An Baojun hailed Airumi New Energy as a model of China-Zambia cooperation, showcasing the success of "extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits" principles and serving as a shining example of "Made in China" in Africa. He encouraged the company to deepen its presence in Zambia and broader African markets, enhance product quality and technological capabilities, and boost Africa's green energy transition.
The visit was a key stop on the Jiangxi delegation's Africa tour. Comprising Nanchang entrepreneurs and government officials, the group witnessed Airumi New Energy's success as a China-Africa model, boosting confidence in expanding African partnerships and global market presence.
As Better Tech Group's successful operation for global localization, Airumi New Energy has steadily expanded in regional markets with strong support from Chinese and Zambian governments.
