On June 16, Xia Wenyong, Vice Governor of Jiangxi Province, and Chen Changsheng, Deputy Director of the Provincial Commerce Department, visited Airumi New Energy’s battery factory in Zambia. General Manager Liu presented the factory’s investment plan, business strategy, and technological strengths. Vice Governor Xia praised Airumi New Energy’s achievements and offered guidance, encouraging innovation to advance Zambia’s and Africa’s new energy manufacturing sector. He emphasized local economic integration, setting an example for Chinese overseas enterprises and strengthening China-Zambia friendship.
Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Inspects Airumi New Energy Factory
On June 20, Han Jing, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, led a delegation to visit Airumi New Energy's production facilities, gaining in-depth insights into its battery manufacturing processes, technical capabilities, and corporate culture. Ambassador Han highly commended Airumi New Energy's achievements, noting that the factory demonstrates China's advanced manufacturing expertise while creating local jobs and upgrading Zambia's industrial chain. He encouraged Airumi New Energy to expand its market presence, offering a replicable "China model" for Sino-African trade and investment cooperation, and to further contribute to building a high-level China-Zambia community with a shared future.
As a pioneer investor in the Zambia-Jiangxi Economic Cooperation Zone, Airumi New Energy completed its battery manufacturing facility in just 9 months with strong support from both Chinese and Zambian governments. The first-phase operation now produces thousands of high-performance automotive and energy storage batteries daily, with annual capacity sufficient for 555,000 vehicles plus local energy storage needs. Featuring industry-leading 15-month warranties, Airumi New Energy's self-developed batteries showcase China's advanced manufacturing capabilities while powering Africa's energy transition.
