The lead, nickel, aluminum and recycled plastics which are refined from the lead acid batteries can be made into new lead acid batteries that can be put on the market for further use.


Sometimes new raw material price increases, which makes the high cost of electric bike battery manufacturers, while the price of lead, nickel and lead which are refined from used batteries are more preferential, there is no difference on the use for regeneration metals and new refining metal, just price is more preferential, sometimes it will cause the shortage of refined metal. As a result, used batteries are in high demand.


The reason why old batteries are popular is that old batteries can be replaced with new ones, and old electric bikes can also be replaced with new ones.


Most of the electric bikes we use are 48V, 60V and 72V. For these 4~6 batteries, it is generally unlikely that every battery will fail. When electric bike repair master replace electric bike battery for customers, they will use multimeter to measure a group of battery (which has been replaced) after battery discharge, if the voltage after discharge is higher than 12.5V it can continue to be used, the battery less than 12V should be scrapped.

Waste lead-acid batteries contain 74% lead plates, 20% sulphuric acid and 6% plastic. According to the current technology in our country, the reuse rate of a group of lead batteries can reach 80%, and some enterprises with more advanced equipment can even reach 98%.
