
Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet Mr. Siakalenge and ZDA Director General Mr. Halwampa Tour the Better Tech Group’s Subsidiary Airumi New Energy

Siakalenge, Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet of Zambia, and Mr. Albert Halwampa, Director General of the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA), led a delegation to inspect Better Technology Group's (referred to as Better Tech Group) overseas subsidiary Airumi New Energy — Zambia's first battery manufacturing plant. Ms. Wei Yanping, Chairperson of Better Tech Group; Mr. Liu Dewei, General Manager of Airumi New Energy; and Mr. Huang Chao, Deputy General Manager accompanied the tour, covered by major Zambian media outlets including ZNBC and Lukulu FM.
Airumi New Energy's advanced production automated production facilities and multi-dimensional quality control system impressed the Zambian delegation during their inspection. Chairperson Ms. Wei introduced Airumi New Energy's technological advantages, development achievements, and expansion plans, including a Phase I project starting production in March 2026 with 1 million battery capacity, and a Phase II lithium battery production line launching the same year. These projects will create employment opportunities and contribute to Zambia's economic and social development. This aligns perfectly with Better Tech Group's Globalization 2.0 Strategy, demonstrating the company's determination to deepen China-Zambia cooperation in the new energy sector under the Belt and Road Initiative.
Zambian Deputy Cabinet Secretary Mr. Siakalenge praised Airumi New Energy's progress and expansion plans, calling it a model China-Zambia cooperation project. He highlighted how the company's advanced technology is upgrading Zambia's industry while creating thousands of local jobs through its expansion - perfectly matching government development goals.
